Railway administration to ply special trains
ALLAHABAD : In view of the huge rush of passengers during Dusshera and Durga Puja festivals, railway administration has decided to ply special trains. These trains would be plied between Ahmedabad-Lucknow, Ahmedabad-Gorakhpur and Valsad Varanasi traversing the North Central Railway region.
The special train plying between Ahmedabad and Lucknow would have the number 0923/0924 and would be plied once in a week. This train would leave Ahmedabad at 11:25pm and arrive at Vadodara at 1:30 am, Ratlam at 5:58 am, Kota at 10:00 am, Bayana at 2:08 pm, Agra Fort at 3:50 pm, Tundla at 4:50 pm, Kanpur at 7:55 pm and finally terminate at Lucknow at 9:25 pm. During the return journey, the train would leave Lucknow at 7:10 am and arrive at Kanpur at 8:00 am, Tundla at 11:30 am, Agra Fort at 12:30 pm, Bayana at 2;38 pm, Kota at 5:55 pm, Ratlam at 10:15 pm, Vadodra at 2:35 am and finally terminate at Ahmedabad at 5:50 am. This
train would ply from Ahmedabad every Friday from September 18 to October 30. However, the train would leave Lucknow every Sunday from September 20 to November 1. The train would comprise of two AC-3 tier, ten sleeper, four general and two SLR coaches.
Train number 0939/0940 would be plied between Ahmedabad and Gorakhpur once in a week. This train would depart from Ahmedabad every Sunday at 9:30 pm and pass through the route of Vadodra, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla and arrive at Kanpur at 7:01 pm, Lucknow at 8:50 pm and finally terminate at Gorakhpur at 4:30 am. During the return journey, the train would leave Gorakhpur every Tuesday at 11:30 pm and arrive at Lucknow at 6:15 am , Kanpur at 8: 00 am and pass through route of Tundla, Agra Fort, Bayana, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodra and finally terminate at Ahmedabad at 5:50 am. The train would be plied from Ahmedabad end from September 13 to October 25 while this train would be plied from Gorakhpur end from September 15 to October 27. This train would comprise of three coaches of AC-3 tier, seven sleeper coaches, three general and two SLR coaches.
Train number 0943/0944 would be plied between Valsad and Varanasi. This train would leave Valsad every Friday at 7:40 pm and pass through the route of Udhna, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur and terminate at Varanasi at 11:05 pm. During the return journey, the train would leave Varanasi at 4:15 am and pass through the route of Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, udhna and finally terminate at Valsad at 9:00 am. The train would be plied from Valsad end from September 18 to
October 30 while from the Varanasi end from September 20 to November 1. This train would compose of three coaches of AC-3 tier, seven coaches of sleeper class, three coaches of general class and two sleeper coaches.
