A.K. Vohra, GM/ECoR laid
Foundation stone of
Railway Cricket Stadium
Bhubaneswar : Shri A.K. Vohra, General Manager, East Coast Railway laid the foundation stone
of the Pavilion and Gallery of East Coast Railway Cricket Stadium here on Friday.
Addressing to the gathering Shri Vohra stated that Railway is a great patron of sports. The efforts of Railways to promote sports are commendable. Praising the speedy progress of the construction work of the stadium. Shri Vohra said this will not only serve the purpose of Railways but also it will help to promote cricket in Orissa. The estimated cost of stadium is 57 crores and the estimated cost of the Pavilion and Gallery is 04 crores, which will be completed within March 2010.
Shri R. K. Tandon, Sr. DGM of ECoR spoke on the occasion as guest of honour. Shri Dilip Kumar Samantray, President, East Coast Railway Sports Association (ECoRSA) presided over the meeting, while Shri S.K. Patra, General Secretary of ECoRSA offered vote of thanks. Shri P.K. Mohapatra, Joint General Secretary, ECoRSA welcomed the guests.
