OVER AS AGM/CR

Shri S.V.Arya has taken over charge as the Additional General Manager of Central Railway. He belongs to the 1976 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service. He held the posts of Divisional Railway Manager/Waltair and other important and sensitive posts like Chief Freight Transportations Manager, Chief Commercial Manager (PM) on other Zonal Railways. He was also on deputation as General Manager (International Projects) with RITES, New Delhi.

His assignments abroad included "System Study of CN-RAIL & TRACS, in Canada", study for GUARAPUAVA -CASCAVEL Railway line in Brazil; J.V.Bid preparation in Jordan; Rehabilitation Study of Jamaican Railways for National Investment Bank of Jamaica, in Jamaica & Project bidder meeting for computerising Hungarian Railways Operations in Budapest with World Bank.

His contribution in implementation of Computerized Vehicle Guidance system on NF Railway and designing and introduction of Website for Management of RITES is significant.

Before joining as the Additional General Manager of Central Railway, he was working as Chief Operations Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway, Guwahati. During his tenure as Chief Operations Manager, NF Railway received the Best Operating Department Shield from Hon'ble Minister of Railways.
