Did Railway Minister
Score well -Pass or Fail?

1. Rail Technology experts feel that Railway Minister has not done enough to upgrade the signaling & telecommunications, Safety and core Infrastructure.General Feedback from the Rail Technology experts is Railway Minister deserves poor grade

2. What about the AAM JANTA ( general Public) , are they happy with Railway Minister. People feel Railway Minister has been biased towards its constituency, investments have been made disproptianately in the Eastern part of India than rest of India. Railway Minister has scored high marks for her populist agenda for example Duronto, Ladies special trains and introduce cheap meals in the railway canteen. Railway Minister is on border line, barely passed

3. Railway Employees feel that Railway Minister should listen to grievances of the employees seriously and make it a point to visit each zone. In the last seven months, she has spent more time in Delhi and Kolkatta. Railway Minister needs to pay attention to all 16 zones and give equal attention to all all zones. Railway Minister has failed miserably. Grade - Fail

4. Commerce and Industry people feel Railway Minister deserves fail grade. She has not done much to upgrade the systems and infrastructure, not enough done to make the industry competitive by providing enough subsidies.

When China can build world class rail infrastructure, why is India lagging behind.

Dr Tapan Kumar Roy,
Phd
Kolkatta
