FASTEST EVER TRAINS BETWEEN MUMBAI AND CHENNAI
मुंबई : Central Railway have decided to run 8 Weekly Superfast Special trains between Dadar and Chennai to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Weekly Superfast Special Train from Dadar to Chennai (4 trips)
Weekly Superfast Special Train from Chennai to Dadar (4 trips)0163 CST Dadar - Chennai weekly special train will leave Dadar at 12.45 hrs on Tuesday 28.4.2009, 5.5.2009, 12.5.2009 & 19.5.2009 and will reach Chennai at 08.35 hrs next day.
0164 Dadar - Chennai weekly special train will leave Chennai at 15.00 hrs on Wednesday 29.4.2009, 6.5.2009, 13.5.2009 & 20.5.2009 and will arrive Dadar at 10.55 hrs next day.
Halts: These special trains will halt at Pune, Solapur, Wadi, Guntakal and Renigunta stations.
Composition: These special trains will run with 15 coaches 1 AC two tier, 2 AC three tier, 8 sleeper class, 2 General Second Class coaches and 2 General second class cum guards brake vans.
Reservation for 0163 Dadar - Chennai weekly Superfast special trains will be opened on and from 14.4.2009 at all computerized reservation centres.

Unlike otherdestinations from mumbai,this superfast train is most wanted one.I request railways to run this train at least thrice in a week initialy and every day after certain period.More over running this train only up to 20th may is disappointing.Almost all the trains are full and there is a heavy rush in this sector,Railways consider this point and regularise this superfast train.However, I am very happy to note this much wanted initiative fro railways.

Unfortunately the trains 163 and 164 do not appear on the railway website for reservation availability. Has the date of operation been postponed.
