Locos waiting for a link at Rajendra Nagar (RJPB):

Trains spotted at RJPB:
a) A WAP-4 brought in the RJPB Patna Garib Rath 30 mins behind schedule.
b) WAP-4E#22206 LGD brought in the 2310 RJPB Patna Rajdhani right on time.
c) 2570 Jayanagar Garib Rath screech past the RJPB with a WDM link. (Sorry! Couldn’t note down the no.)
d) WAP-4E#22338 HWH brought in the 2359 Kolkata Patna Garib Rath 45 mins past schedule.
e) For a change, WDM-2#18242 BNDM was seen performing shunting duties.
f) WDM-2#16106 UDL took the Gaya-Patna passenger.
Some NEWS ECR:
a) Update to the RJPB shunting yard derailment:
As reported, while shunting an empty spare rake from the yard towards the coaching complex, the rake got derailed after moving though a ‘point’. The loco (WDS-6 JMP) which was moving the rake backwards (LHF) went into the step line and breaking the fish plate collided with the OHE pole. This resulted in fire. Though no casualties were reported and the entire rake with the loco did not suffer any sort of hamper, the shunting activities were put to off till about 11:50 PM in the night. The DANAPUR division has ordered an enquiry into the matter.
b) GOOD NEWS for RJPB Rajdhani travellers: Lalu’s decisions reversed
The soup and the juice removed from the regular menu of the Rajdhani since last March has been brought back. The Railway board today decided to bring back all the old menu items. The IRCTC has now been instructed to include the soup and juice back in the menu with effect from Sunday 31st May 2009. Also, the small sweet served with sancks is brought back. The non-veg. menu will now again include chicken instead of the egg cury.
c) Reduced stoppages: Another of Laluji’s decisions reversed
Among many popularity measure taken by Lalu during his tenure, one was to increase the stoppages of many long and short distance trains. This was done owing to popular demand of the region, all belonging to Bihar only. Now Mamta has come back to the rescue of the passengers of these trains. The ‘popular demand’ stoppages have been taken back. The trains (hit by Laluji and) rescued by Mamta are
