Western RailwaySafety Seminar at Palanpur
On 06.01.2009, a safety seminar was arranged at Officers’ Rest House, Palanpur by safety department-Ahmedabad. The main subject was “Responsibility of safety in Railway”. The safety seminar was attended by 7 Brach Officers, 1 Sr. Divisional Medical Officer and 4 other officers and 395 employees of safety category. Branch Officers of various departments, Safety Counsellors and Supervisors addressed regarding avoidance of accidents by human failures.
The seminar was presided over by Shri B. M. Meena, Sr. Divisional Electrical Engineer. The Chief Guest, Honourable Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Rajiv Misra addressed the meeting and highlighted all subjects related to safety.
In the seminar, Brach Officer of Safety Department, Shri Hari Prakash Varshney has got inaugurated the Disaster Management Plan by Divisional Railway Manager. In the plan, the information to reach the accident site earliest and duties of different officers and employees at the site of accident are available. Divisional Railway Manager, in his speech, emphasized on work efficiency of the division and guidelines to strengthen the safety.
