Rly's finance & payroll function will be outsource

Railway's plans to outsource three more big contracts over the next few months. Each estimated to be worth Rs. 450-500 crores. The project will be for automating and integrating it's finance & payroll functions, materiel management and software - aided train scheduling. A Railway official said it will spend around Rs. 8000 croces on IT over next five years.

A Railway Board senior official told Railway Samachar' that Satyam has stood lowest among Infosys, TCS & WIPRO in the outsourcing IT contract worth Rs. 2000 crores to be awarded in the next few months.
