Surprise check at CST cafe
Mumbai : It was supposed to be a simple inauguration function of the 24x7 food plaza at Mumbai CST's suburban concourse, but General Manager Bharat Bhushan Modgil, the top boss who inaugurated it stumped one and all, by conducting random checks and a thorough inspection.

Modgil stumped the management by bombarding them with numerous questions on safety, hygiene and on the basic norms that were required to set up and run the restaurant in a public premise.

Senior railway officials appreciated Modgil. "This is the first time that such meticulous checks have been done by the general manager personally at any inaugural function. Everyone usually cuts the red ribbon, gets himself photographed and walks away. But this general manager has shown that it is a job of equal responsibility."

Do your waiters and cooks have medical and fitness certificates? Get them to show me, said Modgil, making the management get him a file of medical fitness certificates of all their employees, including cooks and waiters. He personally inspected it to his satisfaction.

"Then what about licence under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act? He got a reply in the positive. "What kind of identity cards will your employees wear? He was shown a sample of ID cards that employees would wear.

"Why is there no fire safety equipment?" Modgil questioned, directing them to install one at the earliest. "This is a public place and we cannot afford any lapse. There have to be proper entry and exit points in case of an emergency like power cut etc," he said.

Earlier, he inspected the kitchen minutely asking various questions on the smoke dispersal method in the kitchen to the dish-washing cabin.
About the café
More than five lakh suburban commuters at Mumbai CST's suburban concourse can now have a good bite. Re-fresh, the state-of-the-art two tier fully air-conditioned food plaza was opened to public today. It will not only be remain 24 hours open, but also take orders to deliver food in trains.

4. Form Ahemadabad/Surat for NASIK/SHERDI all most 15 Bus services (60 x 15=900 Passengers)

If railway board check the feasibility for Direct Train for following route than it will use full for above passengers. Below demanded route should be 3-4 times in a weeks and then Railway may extended daily subject to Traffic and demand.

• Ahemadabad – Nadiad – Vadodara – Bharuch – Surat – Jalgoan-Manmad-Nagrsole-Aurangabad. (Form Manmad passengers can Travel Yatra Dham SHERDI & NASIK)

For to justify above please consider following points and Railway Board can check and do the feasibility for the same.

1. Total more Than 2000 to 2500 passengers Travel by Bus form Ahemadabad/Surat to Maharashtra Jalgoan / Aurangabad / Yatra Dham Sherdi & Nasik & Return Also.
2. Aurangabad/Nasik is also having big & small Industrial Hub and good business with Gujarat.
3. Also there were no direct Air connectivity with in between Ahemadabad to Nasik & Aurangabad
4. Right now Passangers have to travel by Buses and taking too much time than Train and also paying Rs. 400 to 750/- ticket per passengers which also higher than Train.
5. Also many Gujarati Families are staying at Aurangabad/Nasik they can use this direct route.
6. For tourism point of view this route will help also because from Above route following tourist centre to be connected.
• SHERDI
• Nasik
• Ajanta – Ellora
• Aurangabad – Doltabad – Dhruneshwar (One of the biggest Shiv Temple.)

If Railways Board look in to above route it will generate very Good revenue as well as passengers can Travel by Train at present passengers have to Travel by Buses because of non having direct connected Train.

Sub: Godhara-Anand MEMU to be extended for Dahod- Ahemadabad OR Godhara - Ahemadabad.

Dear Sir,

At present there were 4 times MEMU is running in between GODHARA Jn. To ANAND Jn. In day. But not getting required Traffic to W/R. It is observed that daily more Than 50 to 60 Private Luxury buses for GODHARA TO AHMEDABAD and back. And they are taking Rs. 75/- per trip and taking time of 4 to 5 hours. So if W/R can GODHARA Jn. To ANAND Jn. MEMU service to AHEMEDABAD & DAHOD it will get very good Traffic & Revenue to W/R. Please consider following points and our following suggestions to W/R.

Average Daily Traffic for Dahod/Godhara & Dakor by Road.

1. From Ahemadabad daily 50 Luxury buses for GODHARA. (60 x 50 = 3000 Passengers)
2. From Ahemadabad daily 30 state Government bus for DAHOD/GODHARA. (60 x 30 = 1800 Passengers)
3. From Ahemadabad daily 25 State Government Bus for Yatra DHAM DAKOR. (60 x 25 = 1500 Passengers)
4. If W/R can extended Godhara- Anand MEMU for Dahod-Ahemedabad than Passages for Limkheda/Piplod/santraod/Sevalia/Dakor/Umreth passengers can travel both side and it generates Revenue for the same. Also passengers can daily up & down both directions.
5. We are calculating following additional traffic and revenue can generate if W/R railway can provide 2 timing provided for Dahod-Godahra from Ahemadabad and Back. (One Timing in Moring and one in Evening)

Sr. No.Nos of tripAverage per passenger TicketsAverage Passengers Travel by this news services in dayExpected Revenue Generated by W/R.
12 times up & 2 times down30Average 2000 passengers in one Trip.
8000 X 30 = Rs. 2.4 Lac in dayDaily 2 lac x 365 days = 7 to 8 Cr. Yearly Income.

6. We are requested to W/R to do feasibility for above and take required actions for the same.
7. Railway has having 2 MEMU racks already running in between GODHARA-ANAND. Now only do planning how to use it effectively and take more and more passengers and generate revenue for W/R.
8. For Trail basis W/R can run One Trip in day and see the Traffic and revenue for the same.

Thanking you
